Care and Comfort
The Care and Comfort Committee of lodge 764 endeavors to visit members who are confined to home or hospital due to illness, injury or disability.
When we are advised of a member with a serious illness or injury, a fruit basket or flowers are sent out or delivered in person. A call is made first to ensure that we have the correct address.

During the holiday season a personal telephone call is made to every member who is unable to work or retirees who are ill or disabled. After verifying their address, a small Cheer package is mailed out with the best wishes of our members and executive board. Should they wish it a member of our committee goes out to visit. We call approximately 200 members each winter. .

Our committee relies on workmates, friends or family to notify us when someone is ill, a contact number is helpful. We have a difficult time reaching these members if we do not have up to date contact information on file. Your employer does not share this information with us so it is important that you notify our office when your address or telephone is changed. We regret that without your assistance, sometimes people are overlooked. Please help to ensure this does not happen.

Messages may be left with our office assistant Penny, or you may contact a committee member. Swift action will be taken. Thank you for your assistance to ensure that no-one is forgotten. Lodge 764 office telephone number is 604-273-9668
