AIR CANADA TMOS NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE LL764 REPRESENTATIVES ***NOMINATIONS & ELECTION***
Despite the fact that negotiations have not yet finalized from the April 1, 2019 Air Canada collective agreement reopener,the current 2019 – 2022 term of the agreement will expire on March 31, 2022. In accordance with Appendix XXXXIV, Item 8 of the collective agreement, either the IAMAW or Air Canada may seek changes to the collective agreement by providing a notice to bargain between January 1, 2022 and March 31, 2022. Therefore, with reference to District Lodge 140 Bulletin 035-2021, Air Canada Local Lodges across the country must enter into a process to nominate and elect their Air Canada Negotiations Committee representatives prior to this date. District Bulletin 34 – AIR CANADA ONE CATEGORY GRIEVANCES
As a follow-up to bulletin No. 005 issued on January 27th of this year, the arbitration process has now concluded for the grievances regarding one-category recall. This arbitration hearing was raised to a full evidentiary process and the parties required three (3) full days to make all arguments. MTU – 764 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UPDATE
The parties met in direct bargaining on June 8 & 9, 2021, where the parties continued to discuss non-monetary proposals tabled during last bargaining session in May. The Committee expects to table all remaining non-monetary proposals on the Union’s agenda prior to our next meeting dates.

On May 12th, your Committee of General Chairpersons went to bat again to defend our collectively bargained rights. The Company’s utter contempt for the Collective Agreement and disdain for its employees was again painfully manifest with the invocation of a second wave of Off-Duty Status (ODS) commencing in January of this year, almost eight (8) months after the initial period of ODS transitioned to the lay-off, bumping and recall provisions of Article 16. *****CHANGE OF DATE NOTICE***** JUNE 23, 2021 LOCAL LODGE 764 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
As part of that “reopening” process, the government has announced that effective Tuesday, June 15,
2021, social gatherings of up to fifty (50) people will be allowed. Under Local Lodge 764 bylaws,
Article 1, Section 3, our monthly general membership meetings are to be held on the second
Wednesday of each month. That date would be June 9, 2021. Social gatherings remain prohibited
under the current health restrictions as at that date.
In order to be in compliance with the announced ability for LL764 to hold a General membership
meeting after June 15, 2021 of up to fifty (50) members, the Executive of LL764 requested and
received approval from the Grand Lodge Canadian office for a dispensation from Article 1, Section 3
of our Bylaws. That dispensation will allow us to delay the date of our monthly General membership
meeting from Wednesday, June 9, 2021 by two (2) weeks.
