AIR CANADA – TMOS NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE – APRIL 1, 2019

Your 2019 – 2022 TMOS Negotiating Committees continued direct bargaining with Air Canada from March 25th – March 29th in Vancouver. Discussions transpired regarding Common, Tech-Ops, Airports/Cargo and Pension issues. The Committee will be meeting with Air Canada again the week of April 8th to build on the progress made so far. DISTRICT 140 ORGANIZER – EASTERN REGION POSITION

The Transportation District 140 Executive Board is pleased to announce that we have received approval from the Grand Lodge to commence an Organizer Eastern Region position. The term of office shall be from April 1, 2019 through to December 31, 2019. Any member wishing to be considered for this position must submit a resume, a cover letter and a letter from their Local Lodge Recording Secretary attesting that they meet the eligibility requirements. On December 5, 2018, your National and Regional EAP Coordinators kicked off a new mental health initiative. “Not Myself Today” is a program developed by the Canadian Mental Health Association
(CMHA). Your EAP has purchased the rights to use this online program for the next year.
“Not Myself Today” is designed to promote mental health, reduce stigma and foster healthier workplaces for our members. All of your EAP Coordinators and Peer Referral Agents will have business-style cards that have the website information.   Read Bulletin here…

District Bulletin 55 – AIR CANADA LTD TERMINATION – ARBITRATION UPDATE

This bulletin is to inform the membership that Brother Clay Ferguson has accepted reinstatement to the 2019 Air Canada Negotiations Committee pursuant to item 4 (a) of the attached letter from Canadian General Vice-President, Brother Stan Pickthall. Negots Update G4S – PRE-BOARD SCREENING PERSONNEL LODGE 16

Further to our bulletin of November 6, 2018, the parties reconvened in Mediation on November 15 & 16, 2018 and again November 21 – 23, 2018. Your Negotiations Committee presented the Company with a comprehensive proposal, detailing your bargaining priorities. MTU – LOCAL LODGE 764 NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE – NOVEMBER 29, 2018

Further to our bulletin of November 6, 2018, the parties met in Mediation on November 27 & 28, 2018 with the assistance of our Mediator at the Labour Relations Board. The parties made progress on the remaining issues in dispute and have agreed to one (1) additional day of mediation on Thursday, December 6, 2018, to hopefully finalize a tentative agreement for your consideration.
