Machinists Reach tentative 10-year deal with Air Canada

Toronto, On – The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has
reached an unprecedented tentative ten-year collective agreement with Air Canada. The tentative
agreement follows a week of intense round the clock bargaining in Vancouver.

It says that Air Canada’s articles of continuance must contain provisions requiring the Corporation “to maintain operational and overhaul centres in the City of Winnipeg, the Montreal Urban Community and the City of Mississauga”.
